Am I ready again?

It's been nearly a month since Popcorn died, and all I do is come on here & look at pictures of other peoples piggies, like some crazy pig lady haha. But yesterday, the OH suggested we go and get two new ones today when he finishes work. I miss Popcorn very much, but is it time to move on?

If you do feel ready, please consider re-homing a pair from a rescue rather than going to a pet shop. I know there is that excitement and i need them now factor and the convenience of the pet shop, but there are so many piggies in rescues waiting for their new home.

Sometimes you need a distraction if you can't move on to the next stage of greiving and new piggies will offer you that. You'll also find it easier to remember your passed piggy with a smile rather than tears.
Of course I'm only speaking from personal experience, everyone's different including piglets so you wouldn't be replacing Popcorn ( they're all irreplaceable), more like moving onto the next chapter.
Please consider a rescue, most will be able to see you fairly quickly and sort you out with some adoptees. That way you're giving other piggies a second chance in life which is a lovely legacy for your Popcorn. x

Yeah we were going to go to a rescue and have a look. We had a good talk last night and I explained how I felt, but I think talking about it has made me feel a lot better, almost as if everything's a bit clearer now

It's hard to go forward but you never forget the furry little . I am in the process of getting a new piggy just now and although the one I am replacing hasn't died (he's moved elsewhere as he was a hooligan and upset my others...) it's still made me reminisce with a smile about my old boys who have gone over the bridge.

A new piggy or two will always make you smile but they will never replace one who had your heart, although in time they will worm their way in too!

Sorry for ** loss of popcorn its very sad time my hacker died in my arms three ago i blame myself and learnt from it, i hav eight now lol! I also rescue n foster and i agree if * could rescue its much better and more rewarding, i have a little 8 week old boy called boston am on a mission to get him a new home, poor start in life bt doing brill now, hope * find ** two new piggies soon rescue or other routes .
