Just wondering if I am using too much hay as I first cover hutches with paper then megazorb then hay and obviously extra hay in racks.I notice from some of your picture posts that most have areas just of megazorb or similar, with hay dotted around.......

Hay is ace for burrowing - the more the merrier i think

Not too much hay all at once because it gets soiled - better to give little and often. ANd burrowing may be cool for guineas but not for their eyes or my finger - I have a seed embedded in my finger at the moment, got magnesium sulphate on it to draw it out, but its so swollen and painful - imagine how their eyes must feel if they get a seed in them - bless! lethal grass seeds!

Mine get alot of hay in their cage but get the givin more in the morning and night. Misty doesn't have a clue how to burrow he just flattens in so you have to cover him with some of it when you put it in to keep him happy. He cut his leg of the hay the other night aswell but he seems fine just need to be careful.
