Amazon basics grids and cage creations base question

Hi, I recently bought some amazon basics grids and a base from cage creations, thinking I would be able to use my existing grids to extend and make a 6x2 cage. Unfortunately the grids are a different colour to the songmics white grids I have... no problem I thought as I'd just use the new grids to make the 6x2 cage! I've gone to build it this morning to find that don't have enough connectors and the ones for the songmics grids are to small. Upon further inspection, the amazon grids make a bigger size cage due to the larger connectors!

Before I go and order more grids, does anyone know if the 6x2 base from cage creations will fit in either the songmics 6x2 setup or the amazon grid setup? Or if another brand fits better?

Honestly thought this would be a much easier process 😂

If they're the wire type grids rather than solid, you'd probably be better off going with cable ties. They'll keep the grids together as well as the connectors will, with the advantage that at least you know they'll fit!

And if you still want or need some connectors, you can use 4-8 on the corners (bottom of the grids first, then top if there's enough available, and cable ties to connect the rest.
 
Reusable cable ties do the job well and the grids won't fall down or open out.
 
I've cable tied 2 grids together and then connected these joined panels with connectors for the front and back. It's still about 10cm too long for the base, but I'm going to put a hay keeper at one end which should hide the gap a bit. If it becomes a problem, ill just have to buy some more songmics grids!
I need to switch everything out but going to wait for the morning now, then can give them their extended home. Thanks for the advice all!

Thanks, it's the amazon connectors I've not got enough of. The songmics ones aren't big enough for the amazon grids and I don't have enough songmics grids for a 6x2 cage 🙈.
