OMG i've finally recieved my order from Amazon that i placed over a month ago! Every one from the States and the UK you guys are so lucky...here we have to wait forever for our orders! It's either you bring it in with someone (UPS, Cayman Airways) who is going to charge you 22-50% of what your order costs (this is in addition to what you pay Amazon tax, shipping etc.) or you buy a plain ticket and get it yourself or have someone bring it in for you. Either way your going to pay additional! It sucks! Sorry about the long thread i'm just really excited ... i got alot of cool stuff! (chew blocks, cuddle cups, wooden hideaways, veggie bowls...)

That's very exciting, we need to see pictures of the cuddle cups being used :)

Can't believe the cost, that's awful.

Glad to hear that it eventually arrived. I suppose you have to put up with things like that when you live on an island.

Oh yay! I have to stay away from amazon now as i would seriously buy them something every day otherwise! Cant wait for photos (although they will probably prompt me to go on amazon...)

LOL i know what you mean! I LOVE the UK version of Amazon for piggie product! But because of the money i have to pay and running up and down i have to do i will probably start making most of my piggie product from now on! But seriously if someone from here or came here and opened a small pet store they would make a killing! Our current Pet Store doen't even sell hay racks for gosh shakes!

We're only slightly better off here in OZ as far as piggy stuff is concerned. You can get the basics but that's about it. At the moment there is only one supplier of C& C grids in Brisbane & they import them from Asia as storage units. Correx? Good luck on finding some. Large ready made cages suitable for indoors? Forget it. I ended up buying the traditional Aussie outdoor 2 storey wood hutch with a wood run attached & used it indoors. The fleecy ramp tunnels & anything else fleecy (cuddle cups, hideys, hammocks, etc) I bought from the UK. Even my local piggy shelters have said all their fleecy items they order from the UK as none available here, so we are forever exchanging info on suppliers we discover. One of the reasons I love this forum is because I can find out where to get fleecy items. And many are made by forum members!

Looking at one of the links posted by a member I discovered a UK pets supply shop that had the traditional indoor cage of plastic bottom tray & wire grids, but it was 1metre x 1 metre & they shipped overseas. I was so excited! Yes, the freight cost me as much as the cage itself, but I am so pleased with it as are my 2 boys.

I had to laugh about your comment on having someone bring it in for you. I lived in Trinidad for 2 years & very little available on the island. So, whenever anyone was going to visit the UK or USA or Canada, their friends would all submit shopping lists! I ended up being both the shopper & shoppe myself at various times.
