For the first time in over two years Amina is sleeping on my lap. I feel so tearful at how she trusts me. I got her at 18 months and she had never been held or fed vegetables. She was so scared she would scream every time I held her. Amina seems to have special needs as she displays odd quirks and I think she was taken from her mother too young. She does not understand piggy body language and will often get moaned at as she loves to cuddle up to the others. She lived in a tiny cage with Marble who has now passed and stayed in the one cabin. As a result she thinks being squashed is normal. I love her to pieces.

Aw Amina sounds like a precious girl! She is so beautiful and obviously loves and trusts you loads :) So pleased she is living with you and not in the condition she was originally living in :) :luv::love:

What a really special moment, so pleased for you. It is such a warm feeling when you get something special like that happening. You must make her feel very safe and loved. She is a really lovely little piggie  She looks very comfy there on your lap. I will send you Cookie to tame like that, the little Madame will no longer settle....

It's so sad that so many rescue piggies have a horrible story behind them - but a delight to hear when they find a loving home.

It is wonderful to gain the trust of an animal. And I can understand you getting emotional as small animals are so vulnerable and dependant on us for their whole wellbeing.

When you gain the trust of a piggy it does seem to trigger an emotional response that finally they have become part of your family and trust you implicitly no matter how long it takes that is indeed love :luv:

Nothing like the feeling that you have you won the full trust of a piggy that has never known love or good care before.
