Hi everyone! I have done some research and understand that a young fast growing pig should have unlimited pellets and the amount should be reduced to 10-15g at adulthood but how much do a feed inbetween those times? I currently feed Rosewood pellets which recommends 30-35g per pig which I'm assuming is for a pig over 12 months old. Frodo is 6 months old and I am feeding him 40g per day and am planning to reduce it when he is in his adult years to about 20g as he is a big boy. Does this sound about right? Thank you for your help in advance :)

I have never fed my young sows with pellets even when they were only 2 months old and the rescues here don't give you any piggies to adoption if you don't assure that the diet will be pellet free or will contain only 5-10grams.
Now my sows are 1 year old and one is 1100g and the other one is 950g. No medical issue so far and teeth amazingly eroded. They have eaten only huge amount of fresh grass, hay and some veg, plus some piece of grainfree pellet, even when they were very young. Never given alfa alfa.
They had two check ups at the vet (two different expert vets) and no vet has ever allowed more than one teaspoon of (grainfree) pellet even when one of the sows was underweight. She put on weight slowly but now she is a normal size.
Never read the doses recommended by the firm (of course they have all the interests to suggest an illimited use of a product which they are selling).:)

To be honest as long as they're eating plenty of hay you're doing just fine! Those are good pellets so I'd say that's a good amount. My piggies had unlimited pellets when they were under a year (or if they're poorly) but as hay is their main food that's all you need to worry about :)
