I have finally picked up Amy and Tia to be the new wifes for Tiger and George. It seems like a year I've been waiting but only been 7 weeks :)) . They are such lovely piggies. All is going well at the minute they are all resting so I thought I'd come on here!

Thanks to Jane (nutmeg) and her daughter for looking after them for so long. Thanks also for introducing them for me and allowing me to bring my two round to yours!

It's very exciting and there have been a quite few popcorns and excited squeeking and jumping around (mostly Tiger). Tiger's even lying out in the open looking very content which is not like him he normally hides in his house to chill out!

They seem to be sharing food well and not fighting over tunnels etc... there was a couple of times when tiger tried to squeeze in with Amy into a tunnel which was not big enough for two, but after a telling off from Amy he stopped :))

I will post some pictures later. Busy at the minute trying to reinforce and fix the C&C since tiger decided to munch a massive hole in it whilst I was away on holiday.

I'll be sad when I have to put them in the cages and I'm really enjoying having the two pairs in two separate pens in the middle of the living room but unfortunately I can't move and when Paul gets back from football there will be no room for him to even stand in the room let alone sit :))

Will keep you all posted! Will try to add pigtures later tonight once they are settled and the front room is back to normal

Congrats!

Looks like you have one ecstatic boy in piggie Heaven... Can't wait to see pics and hear how they are settling in!

another update. All piggies getting on well but unfortunately Amy has a poorly tummy! She has done some very large wet poos and she keeps wiping her bottom on things (including food bowl which I had to clean) and it seems quite messy. Bless her I just got her out and she has been standing in it so very messy feet. I have cleaned her up and removed all the wet poos I could find.

They are all still in pens in middle of the floor so if she doesn't improve I will keep her there with tiger over night to keep an eye on it. She seems happy and is eating. Probably due to all the excitement and maybe too many veggies. I will keep her off them until she seems better. She has been doing normalish poos inbetween which is a good sign though!

It's probably just down to all the upset - new territory, a randy male, new food.

You're doing the right thing!

As promised some photos:

Sorry only one of them as Tia is not very good at sitting still yet :))

the happy couples now finally seem to be settled! tiger and amy can't bear to be apart if one moves away the other follows x) . there has just been a good 15 mins of popcorning from George, Tiger and Amy. Tia seems more subdued think she is taking her time coming to terms with her new surroundings but george is being very protective of her. She seems a bit scared when I aproach her and darts but then george goes up to her and cuddles up with her x)

So glad it is going well. Runny poops are probably just down to the move and different veggies. Hope it sorts itself out soon. x

She seems very happy so not worried! at the minute they are both flaked out next to each other out in open so she seems to be quite content!

AWWW - they all look so gorgeous!

I've had several cross gender pairings, and they usually work so well... No wonder, the boys are smitten! Tia will come round soon.

Coulda sworn I posted on this last night! :{

They're pretty girls and the boys should be very happy! :(|)

Awwwwwwww how lovely xxxxxxxxxxxx It's so nice to read about people giving homes to rescue piggies, that's the special thing about the forum. I love their names :) Is the white one himalayan? :)

Not great at breeds but if himalayan is same as himi then yes! She is very pretty isn't she? I'll get some better pics of them both once they settle in more. Tia is very shy and has been slowly venturing out of her sleeping bag more and more today. Next week when they are more settled I will get some better pictures.

I am so pleased that Amy and Tia are settling in nicely with you Briony.

I am sure all members will remember Amy's condition when she came in to me with her three little babies - Remember the Sad Sow and Babies thread - yep that was Amy.

Well done for rescuing her and for being patient until the time was right.

Love Helen.x

Amy is made up! She follows tiger around and via versa. They are never apart. They sleep next to each other out in the open as the tubes are too small for two :)) If one goes to eat the other either shares from the same bowl (even though there are two) or lies down next to the dish waiting! If I get one out the other runs rouns everywhere looking for the missing piggie :))

George and Tia are getting on well too! They are a very different couple. Tia likes her own space and george is very protective of her! Paul is convinced George knows he is a man as everytime paul goes near Tia George runs in front of her and starts strutting his stuff (as if to say get off she's mine) :)) He doesn't do that with me!

That's so cute! I love the photos too they are sweet in their pairs.
