Do sows suffer from anal impaction? I clean my boys bottoms weekly as they get bits of hay and hair stuck up there (plus they smell) but I've never come across anything to say whether girls have to be checked too

I've never had a sow with impaction problems but that's not to say it doesn't affect them.
Having hay/debris lodged in the anal sac is different to impaction & boys do tend to drag their bottoms along the floor especially when scent marking. I've not seen a sow do this but there may be people who have
Having said that not all boys store hay/hair etc. One of my boys in particular needs cleaning weekly but my other boys are always clean & don't smell & all are intact boars.
