Well Mintys scabby thing fell off today. There are two small wounds which look like an old bite mark, but luckily its all well.

However the bit that fell off looks like a kinda resin! Almost like a glue, what ever it is its done a great job of keeping the wound clean and helping it heal.

I wonder has anyone ever heard of this type of dressing. I remember once having a cut to my head and the doctor used a glue to fix it rather than stitches.I wonder if vets are using a same thing?

The glue doctors use is superglue - which was originally designed to be used to glue wounds back together securely on the battle field and to be absorbed back into the body once the wound had knitted. That's why superglue is so amazingly good at sticking your fingers together - it's meant to!

Superglue dries clear, you said this was resiny. So possibly not? Also, superglue can be removed with soaking in warm water - part of it's breaking down to be reabsorbed properties. If you bathed your piggie and it was superglue then it would have come loose, or off altogether?

Cheers Sarah... Thats interesting I kever knew that!

To be fair this looks like epoxy resin. However I suspect that is not the best thing to use.
