With thanks to all the mods I have permission to add a link to my new Yahoo group.

Over the last few days I set up Animal_Rehoming_UK.
Some of you might know how the Freecycle and Cheapcycle sites work. Well this runs pretty much the same but it concentrates on animals only.

This animal site covers all regions in the UK.
You may advertise here if you wish to rehome or adopt an animal, or announce an animal that is lost, stolen or found. Animal rescue institutions are very welcome. Animal related items may also be advertised on this list.
Becoming a member and advertising on this list is FREE.
No breeders or commercial enterprises are allowed.

Please submit as much information as possible regarding the animal.
It is important to specify the animal’s compatibility with other animal species and any special requirements the animal may need concerning its health and welfare.
If at all possible, please check where the animal is going to be re-homed. Check the other person’s knowledge of the animal and its everyday requirements.

This group works in the same way as a classified ad in any media.

I still have a lot of work to do on the group as I have many contacts and files I need to add. However, the more members that join the more lives we can save so get advertising.

Once I have loaded the files and links section ( in the next couple of days ) all rescues will be welcome to list their own rescue details and provide a link to their webiste. We already have a waiting list of some major rescue organisations who will be joining in.

Right I'll stop running on and detail the link.

i've joined! dont know how these yahoo groups work, but i'm sure i'll work it out x

I'm currently loading the dog rescue centres into the links sections.

The other folders are set up. You can now add your own links. If you are laoding somebody elses please make sure you have their permission.

Congratulations on your new site - hope it works out for you - I've already joined and posted a message - well done for promoting the animals let's hope it's a success. x
 
Just so you know, I have had to change things so that only the moderators can add, amend and delete links.

This is for safety reasons as I don't want links to unrelated sites posted on there. I have known links for porn sites to appear in the links section of some groups if they haven't been set up properly.

You are still welcome to list your details and link.
Please email me the details and I will add it for you.

That's brilliant, Claire - and well done on setting this up, I hope it's a huge success, in fact I know it will be. :)
 
I have just joined, took me forever because I am computer useless. Forgot to put the area I am in, and can't find a way to edit my advert to add this? I will do better next time. xx

I joined a while ago claire after we were talking via pm and you mentioned it i am a member of the Lincolnshire section and get email notifications daily its great :)
