Three weeks ago I went to feed my 3 girls and found Anna in her forever sleep in her pigloo. She wasnt quite 3 and so it's always been on my mind what caused her to suddenly pass. This morning I went to feed and sweep out my remaining ingredients two girls only to find her sister Storm in her forever sleep also inside the pigloo. Today would have been what I mark as tier 3rd birthday. I'm really concerned for my remaining piggie now.

Hi! I am so sorry that you have have now lost two of your girls at a young age, and especially on this particular day! :(

Piggies of all ages can die from heart attacks, sudden acute heart failure, strokes or simply fright. In your case, there is the risk of a congenital (inherited) defect; a bit like living with time bomb in your body that can go off at any time.
Perhaps it is worth having your remaining girl vet checked by a piggy savvy vet although it is not at all easy to diagnose or even find a heart problem, and not all heart issues are treatable even if they are known. :(

Please bring your remaining girl indoors if she isn't already. Your closest good rescues are Palace Piggie Rescue in Crawley and Worthing Guinea Pig Rescue if you are looking for a new companion.

Thank you my girls have always been indoors so that's not an issue. Elsa seems in good form considering but am keeping a close eye on her.

So sorry for your losses, what a terrible shock for you, to find 2 over the rainbow bridge. My heart goes out to you.
Sleep Tight Anna & Storm xx
