I've had my girls for just under a week now, and it's safe to say that I'm absolutely smitten with them! Despite the short time they've been with me, I've already learnt some things about them.

- They really come to life in the evening. I can sit in the lounge where their cage currently is, with the tv on, and they'll suddenly decide it's play time, and will start darting around, chatting away to each other.
- At present, broccoli is their absolute favourite thing ever. They're not too keen on their pellets, but they do eat it. Once the bag is almost finished I might (gradually) try them on something new.
- They eat SO much hay! I've also introduced them to a bit of grass, and they love it.

This is Annie...

And here's Lillian (Lily)...

And here they are doing what they do best...

They're doing exceptionally well considering they're only around 8 weeks old. They don't dart straight into their igloo when I walk passed like they used to. I find background noise really helps them to chill out a bit. They've just had a mad 30 mins, and have now worn themselves out so they've gone to bed!

I've been handling them for short periods every day, and talking to them regularly. Living on my own helps, as they're the only things I come home to!

Oh, and excuse the mess in the cage! They are spot-cleaned every day, but like to get their hay (and everything else) everywhere! I'm giving the cage a proper clean out tomorrow.

What lovely piggies

What nuggets do you use? Some of the Burgess ones have a more strong flavour than others. I use the blackcurrant and oregano ones and my piggies love it, but not all would eat them. You could try the plain nuggets instead and see how that goes.

They're on Burgess with mint at the moment - it's what they were on when they were at the garden centre I got them from. I'm not going to keep them on it, because they're really not too keen on it.

They really are the sweetest things. I'm currently sitting watching TV, and they've come to life. I love listening to them chatting to each other. The sound is just adorable .

I'm currently in "new parent" mode at the moment. I get slightly anxious when they've gone quiet, and have to fight the urge to pick up the igloo and check on them. I could also spend hours watching them and listening to them, especially when they stretch to reach the top of their hay rack, like this:

Literally everything they do is utterly adorable. I can tell they're going to have me wrapped around their little fingers!

Oh, and yes, they have massive feet! :xd:

I'm 3 months in and my new parent mode extended to getting two more piggies to make 4! I still sit for hours a day watching them, talking to them, feeding them. They really are adorable little creatures and just as I think they have shown me all their tricks, they come out with something new!

Sounds like they have really settled in. You have done such a great job with them, handling a little and often has really worked it sounds.

There are utterly gorgeous, Annie has such unique markings  and Lilly is a gorgeous colour

Great news on them being big hay eaters, it is the best thing for them, I am glad all our girls adore hay, our first piggies were never big hay eaters unfortunately...

Love mini piggies with their huge ears and feet, they soon grow into them :))

Maybe try Harringtons pellets? You can get them from Asda they are much loved and good quality, they used to be called Wag.

Hoping to see more of your babies over the next few weeks!

You're doing a great job with them, and thanks for sharing the pictures. They look lovely. Please don't apologise about any mess in the cage, cages don't stay organised for more than five minutes! :)

I am currently bursting with pride!

On Wednesday Annie 'wheeked' quietly when she heard me putting food into their bowl!

Lily took some cucumber out of my hand yesterday as I was holding her!

Leaps and bounds!
