A new piggy may be on the way :) Penny and Cocoa are in separate cages because they did not get along when being introduced. Penny is very independent and happy with her space, probably because she came from a hoarder that most likely had 10+ piggies in one cage. Cocoa, on the other hand, wants to talk and interact with Penny. I'm definitely thinking about getting Cocoa a friend. I'm not going to rush anything, though, because I need to make sure I have enough money and time to care for 3 piggies. I'm also nervous about introducing 2 piggies together again since the last time didn't go well. But the thought of adopting another piggy is exciting!

My mom and sister are on board with getting another piggy, but my dad said 2 is the limit😂 Funny thing is he was apprehensive when I was going to get Penny and Cocoa and now he loves interacting with them :luv: Besides, they’re my piggies and not his ;)

My fall semester is done next week and I'm still debating on getting a third piggy :) I've been keeping an eye on my local shelter's website to see if there are any piggies. They haven't had any for a month or two now (which I suppose is a good thing!)

Are you going to get another sow or a neutered boar?

My local shelter now has 3 sows! I'm on the fence about getting another piggy now, but maybe if I have an instant connection with one of them that will change ;) I'm planning to visit them this week
You're bound to have an instant connection with at least one of them.

I dont think I ever met a guinea pig I didnt have an instant connection with and want to bring home... but you need to be fairly sure the piggies will get on, and have a plan B in case they don't!

You all won't believe this when I say it. I just checked my shelter's website, and ALL 3 of the sows are not there anymore! :yikes: They got adopted within a day! It's good that they got adopted, but now I will have to wait some more for more piggies to come to the shelter.
