Hiya! Our piggies are doing ok. Definitely coming out more to see us than they did although they're still not keen to be handled and I haven't chanced putting them in the run on the grass for fear of them escaping when I try and put them back into the hutch!

My question is, we're going on holiday at the end of December for 3 weeks and I was wondering if there was a place like dog kennels/hotels but for gp's. I do have a neighbour who I'm sure would look after them but she's got two kids and I didn't really want to put upon her.

What do people recommend?

yes there are places that look after GPs, but you would have to see if there are ones in your neighbouring area.

Some rescue places would look after them and some pets shops do too (some people said on the forum) though none in my area.

Maybe look in your yellow pages or www.yell.co.uk. or even just search google! something might come up!

Yep there are places like that, where abouts are you though? Someone here may be able to look after them?

I can look after them for you but they would have to be gotten to me and I am in Liverpool. But if I am too far perhaps you can ask here. Boarding places cost around £3.50 an animal or £4.00 a pair all depends and this is per day so it can run expensive. :)

I live in south east London. I'll have a look on Yell to see if there's anything. Thanks!

i live in kent just outside of london, there maybe some in the area, how far are you willing to travel out?

Yes, do a Google and let a guinea pig expert (or guinea pig nut :))) look after them safe and sound while you are away.

The sticky at the bottom of this category lists pet boarding centres/websites

Thank you so much for all your help with this one. It's been on my mind that our holiday will come round pretty quickly and I need to get it sorted out.

Ta!
