Junior Guinea Pig
Here is my introduction video, Smudgee into the herd.
After her quarantine and a clean bill of health, I did an introduction.
Key points to a successful introduction:
1. Neutral Area (a place where the piggies have never been before)
2. Space (make sure it is big enough...larger then their normal cage)
3. Food/Water
4. Towel ready ( in case an argument breaks out)
5. A clean cage after the introduction.
6. Most crucial: Time allotted for the introduction. If you have only 30 minutes then pick a day that you have hours free just for the introduction. Introductions can't be rushed.
Warning: Very boring introduction. She was accepted within 30 minutes, but were kept in the introduction pen for 4 1/2 hours.
