Which antibiotic drops are good? My vet was reluctant to prescribe them.

@chezzab0 please come and post your question here again. But I’d you have an ongoing thread about your piggy it’s best you post there. If so let me know and I will delete this one.

Isathal is usually given. It may take longer than the 7 days you’ve been given it for to deal with it.
Chloramphenicol is the other thing which can be used for more severe injuries but it is stronger and more drying on the eyes (so rehydration drops will usually be needed too).
Only a vet is going to be able to tell you what to do, but a longer than 7 day course could be needed.
How many times a day are you giving the drops?

Isthal is what she has been 2 weeks it’s getting there eyes gone blind we don’t no if due to the middle ear infection or the ulcer she’s coping very well now with it culture should be back this week we will no more then Thank you

I had a guinea pig who 7 years ago her eye went cloudy or pearl like. Her vet then said she was blind. Shortly after I changed vets and had to take her in fir a dental abscess in her neck. When this cleared her eye went back to normal and she could see again. New vet said that the abscess had probably put pressure on the back of her eye x
