Blazey and Flame have wounds that are scabbing over but in some cases do not look very clean so what antiseptic can be used to clean them...

Are the wounds from mites, fighting etc?
What I would do is boil the kettle and leave it to cool. Then cover the surrounding fur with some tissue, and pour the cool water across the wounds. Don't touch the wounds with your hands or the tissues - just let the water go across the wound. It should remove any debris or dirt that's clinging to the area. If they're longhaired pigs, also consider trimming the hair back. If you do this, pour across some more water to remove the loose hairs. I'd be weary of doing much else yourself to be honest, you don't want to do more damage than harm. You can buy Tea Tree cream from a vet shop which is an antiseptic, it often has Aloe Vera added to soothe itching or inflamed skin.

If the wound is open you could use Hibiscrub which you can get either from Boots or your vet, or try Salvon Antiseptic Wound Wash - obviously following the instructions. I think that they have the same main ingredient which washes the wound and then coats the skin to stop infection.

Hibiscrub is also used by humans prior to an operation to help combat the chance of infection.

PS. Sorry to hear that you have been having problems with your piggies. Hope everything works out ok.

I've been told to use Hibiscrub too, in situations such as this, and it's worked quite well :)

If it's not bad then I'd try cooled boiled water.
