Vida
Junior Guinea Pig
I have done a search on the forum and found several threads about ants, but none have really helped.
I live in an extremely humid place. I mean, sticky just after you come out of the shower... all summer. Every summer we get lots of ants. I live in a house with lots of garden, but no lawn, in the hills, and we get run over with ants. mallethead We have learned to live with them. They go once the heat goes. Back to the hills, garden, or wherever it is they live. We even have them in the bath... think old house... although we do our best to keep them out of the kitchen. Anyway, now the guinea pig cages have ants, of course. Not hundreds, but long lines going in and out, towards the food and hay. They seem to stay on the grids and only go in, near the food. I have tried all the natural methods. I can't use powders as I have an elderly dog, and to be honest, I am not really into killing them if it can be avoided.
So does anyone know of a dog safe, guinea pig safe, child safe, ant repellant? ?/ (The lemon juice was great by the way, for about 10 minutes, then it dried and they walked around it, whilst we got our shoes stuck! :p)
