Have you looked on zooplus? I know you’re in the US but I think they ship abroad?

I came across these cages on zooplus who has them and are they really that big? is it good for my two guinea pigs? Great Bargains on Cages at zooplus.ie: Plaza 140 Small Pet Cage

witch one will be better if both of them arent is there any that are good? thanks
Also do they ship to Canada I would love a new cage for my guinea pigs their Midwest is old and smells bad! c&c alternatives please i have not that much room sorry

Edited reason: Typos

Both excellent cages. I saw the 160 today. It is massive. Plenty of space for piggies. If you're short of space make sure you measure the space you have as these are much bigger than they look in the picture

Thank you
I still need to find out if they ship internationally

never mind they dont ship to canada ill check ebay or amazon

I would very strongly not reccomend that cage. You can make your own, more attractive, and bigger C&C cage for less money.

I’m afraid we are UK based so unless a US or Canadian member knows who ships to Canada it’s unlikely we can help.

@TBSam please stick to one thread per topic as otherwise this causes confusion on the forum. I have merged 3 threads together to keep all questions and replies in the one place. Thanks

Hi Gia. What is wrong with this cage? I've never owned one, but I've seen them and they look ideal, and by far the biggest available commercial cage.

I've had a very similar one. It was a huge pain in butt. It was big and super unattractive. There's just better and cheaper alternatives.

Why does your mom not like C&C cages? If built properly, it can be very strong and attractive.

Do you have any wood working skills? If you do, building one yourself can be inexpensive. I can help you design one if you know how to build it.

Keep in mind that for two level cages, the main level still need to meet the minimum requirement floor space.

i mean my dads great with building with wood and I'm making the cage 2x4

2x4 feet? It's kind of small. Are your pigs boys or girls? How many pigs?
thats the minimum for two male pigs 2 feet by 4 feet i have no space for 5 feet sorry

That the minimum for two girls in my book. You should go a cage size up for boys.

Wood is quite hard to deal with especially when peed on. I found great place to buy c&c and for the almost the same price.

I have this one: Living World Green Eco Habitat | Free P&P on orders £29+ at zooplus! in large.

It looks nice and it’s quite big.

If you do build your own you could make something like it, with see through sides?
Just make sure you put something waterproof on the bottom if it’s wooden so you can wipe it clean. I put stick on tiles on the bottom of mine and I wipe them every time I change the fleece. I’ve had it for 2 years now and it’s still fine :)

zooplus only ships in uk tho

its expenive tho :( ahah also its in the uk store it wont ship to canada

Yeah it is :(
You can try to make your own though. You just need some wood for the bottom and Perspex and maybe bits of wood to keep the sides together? It should be pretty cheap and easy to make

thats such a good idea thanks! What wood is safe and what glass is safe

Clear acrylic (hardened plastic, Perspex is one of many brands) is a better idea than glass. It's cheaper and lighter in weight, plus easier to work with. In the UK there are only shops which will cut panels to any size you want, so you don't have to have the skills/ tools - I'm sure there'd be similar where you are.
