So suddenly I have 3 guinea pigs. A distant relative bought a piggy to her kid from a pet store, after a week the kid was sick of the pig and she asked me if I wanted it. I did not have the heart to say no - although I had worries about introducing it to the two young boars I already had. But thankfully introducing them was no problem at all and after 3 weeks they are all best friends. But back to the orginal question. I'd like an idea what sort of pig he is. To me he looks like a Texel mix but if you have another opinion pls let me know. He is about 2-3 months btw. ( his stomach fur is curly compared to the rest of his body which is why I think he is a Texel-mix but I am no expert.)

The top two pics are a texel, and then the trio is sheltie, coronet, texel.

Oh, I wasn't clear enough! I know the breeds of my other two pigs :D But I was impressed you got it right anyway! hehe. So my new one is a Texel! :D

I just want to warn you that boar trios rarely work. As they get older they fight. You may need to separate and get one another friend. It was nice of you to take on the poor unwanted piggy.

Ish! Really? I heard such contradicting stories. Well in any case, buying another cage and a buddy won't be a problem.

That is great to hear. If possible take him boar dating where he can choose his own friend to avoid fights. Rescues will offer this service.

He looks like my Bernadette, and she is a Lunkarya. She has the same short curly hair on her tummy too :) I will post a picture for comparison (Bernadette is the grey/white one at the top.) Her hair is more wooly and a bit coarser than typical long-haired piggles. And obviously she's a bit ruffled up for getting to know her new friend!
