hi there, about a month ago i bought 2 new pigs, one of which was a skinny, the smooth haired piggy has put weight on nicely, but my skinny hasnt hardly put any on, what can i do to help this, shes approx 1 year old and weighs a small 620g.
she gets plenty of mixed veg everyday, has unlimited good quality hay, burgess nuggets and she eats these, she gets fresh grass from the garden everyday also, and shes lively enough, popcorning around all the time :)

i have just run out of ideas! and stuck at a loose end.

if anyone has any ideas it will be greatly appreciated :)

If shes happy and healthy and still eating, then is it really important to put weight on her?

Maybe she is just a small build?

hmm true, maybe skinny pigs are smaller anyway that normal haired pigs, hopefully someone who has guineas will come along with weights of theirs, that would help some more i guess, ty sparrows :)

If you can watch them eating together it would be good. I've found that one of my guinea pigs is a greedy little thing and tries to eat everything i put out. If it comes to the other pig stealing her food, then you may have to separate them at feeding time.
