I have been recommended the above feed which I can buy from my local animal feed suppliers in a large bag and wondered if any of you fed this? I am new to Guinea Pigs but their horse feeds have always been very good and as I get my piggies tomorrow just wanted to check what you all thought. Also bit confused by the Pellets versus flakes debate?
most of us on here feed our piggies pellets rather than the museli stuff as it stops selective feeding with your piggies I'm not sure on the food you have mentioned i have 7 piggies and all mine are fed on burgess excel you can purchase this at pets at home it is veterinary recommended as well and if I'm not wrong it runs out at £5 for a 2kg bag hope this helps some what dont forget to feed your piggies plenty of hay too and fresh fruit and veg good luck for tomorrow
burgess excel do 2 guinea pig foods the one at £4.99 is the tasty nuggets with blackcurrant & oregano and the burgess excel tasty nuggets is in a orange bag that works out at £3.89 for the 2kg bag and for the 4kg bag that works out at £8.49 these are both veterinary recommended all my piggies love both of these foods and as its a pellet food there isnt any selective feeding that way ive found there not wasteing as much both of these foods can be bought at your local pets at home store
