Have been on here most of today and as usual, enjoyed it. Been quite emotional as well though when you follow threads from members who's piggies have been unwell for a few days and sadly left for the bridge throughout the day :0
Have to go to my bed now as have to be up at 4am for work and have no more days off until 13th as covering holidays for colleagues so just want to say to those who have lost, thinking of you and those who are nursing sick piggies, will say a little prayer to keep you all safe again tonight x>>
RIP little Ella and Gladys who are running at the bridge, so sorry you didn't make it :(

as much as i love this forum, some days it just breaks my heart. All the illness and losses and rehomes, sad times.

Also, tonight, i think i may have heard one of my pigs hooting, but i am not 100% as i haven't heard this noise before...will be on piggy watch for next few days.

Anyone else had hooting?

I feel so sad for all those guineas who haven't made it..when I thought Pickles was going to die I just got in my car and cried. I'm still worried she's not going to get better, I keep waking up in the night and having to go and check on her (probably very annoying for her!). Sending all my thoughts to all those who have lost their darling little ones, lets all give our guineas a big cuddle tonight and be thankful for the great friends we still have and think of those who are on the bridge and all the happiness they gave too XXXXXX

Oh dear you've started me off crying again! So thoughtful of you to mention Gladys though I really appreciate it.

I too am sending vibes for all those piggies who are currently unwell. The little blighters can cause so much sadness but the main thing to remember is all the joy they bring us in the happier times.

I think I've PM'ed a fair few people to say thankyou but anyone who I've missed thank you for all the vibes, well wishes and ultimately soothing words over the past week or so regarding Gladys. It means the world to me and coming from a family who don't really "get it" (yet fully accept it!) having people understand how I'm feeling has really helped.

The guinea pig forum is a wonderful place and I'm so glad I stumbled across you all xxxxx

There've been a lot of unwell piggies recently and so many heading to the bridge - its heartbreaking :(

I get scared checking the threads sometimes hoping its good news.... and often finding out it isnt. These little bundles of fur just become so much part of our lives its hard for non piggy people (or maybe non animal people) to understand.

doglovinpiggylover - one of my piggies (Sherbet) hoots..... had her checked at the vets and she has a heart murmour - no medication though.

Last week 2 of my pigs had dental work done, 1 of them is getting treatment for oral thrush and all 8 are being treated for ringworm (3 were showing slight symptoms) but its all clearing up now.

On top of that one of my dogs had a heart attack on sunday in the park. He has a dodgy heart and has had since 2007, is on heaps of medication and sees a normal vet, a cardiologist and a homeopathic vet all of whom are amazed he's still alive today. He survived the attack on sunday as he has the past few attacks .... but its a constant reminder he could go at any time.

Sometimes you just want to wrap 'them all in cotton wool,

Hope everyones piggys, friends, family and all other pets stay safe

xx
