Anyone any experience with lice in a longhaired?

She came to me with them and the vet has been trying to get rid of them for over a month now. She resorted to shaving her yesterday so little Penelope looks like Tina Turner at the front and Uncle Fester from the back! I have bought a soft toothbrush so I can brush her everyday to try to get rid of any stray nits. The vet suggested a bath.

Anyone any experience/suggestions for how I can help her? I'm keeping her inside with her friend - Hazel until her hair grows a bit - is this necessary?

Here are tips on how to bathe your piggies. long or short hair doesn't make much of a difference as long as you are making sure that shampoo is worked in as per instructions.
