There are a few very talented artists on the forum and some examples of their work from a while back, maybe have a search? I can't draw, not even stick guinea pigs :))

I used to be really good at art but I can't write or draw much anymore. For me there's something about piggies that make them really hard to draw. I never know where to start :))

try this....

You've done some sweet pics, pigpig. :)

My mum does watercolours...

http://humphreysartstudio.multiply.com

She made posters out of them a few years back (before the twins came along), sold hundreds around the world. She's aiming to start up again soon, this time with poetry as well. No shortage of inspiration this time around, last time she had just four pigs to paint...now she has 12...all but one being new!

I am the artist in-delay of a guinea pig web comic due to be relaunched soon (once I get the php of the site running properly!)

This is one of my "fillers" when I was 17 and playing with photoshop colouring. A comic "filler" is used when you aren't continuing the story line.

This is how I use to order from Thistle Cavies shop when I didn't have paypal.

just been on website they are fab hope she starts up again i will have some done i know they will be expensive being water colour

She robs herself. She puts loads of time and effort into it but doesn't have the heart to charge much for them. The "professionals" who do less intricate work charge £100+ for that kind of work. Usually a commissioned portrait by my mum is around £50, often less, depending on size. She does take commissions, she's looking to start them up when the twins go to preschool in September and we get the mornings to ourselves again! When she's ready to take orders again I'll put a post up in the For Sale section. I keep telling her she could do really well for herself just on the piggie stuff!

She's done a few personal paintings for me too, the last one being Christmas 08. That one is particularly special to me since I lost one pig (Lottie) two days after Christmas, and another one (Tuppence) eight days after Lottie. I need to commission a new one myself now, what with six new pigs just this year. :))
