I grow carrots for Freddie (some of which he's eating now) and salad (which he's willing to share with me every now and then!).

He could have some tomatoes if he wanted but has never liked them!

Other veg I grow I was wondering if it's safe to try him with are courgettes and beetroot leaves?

I'm growing parsley. I just got some tiny sprouts! :)

My Kitty will eat ANYTHING! I haven't found one food that she won't eat (pig safe of course)

I dug up some very tiny onions this year (obviously not for piggies) - I usually have no probs growing them but they just didn't want to play ball this year.

I never knew till recently how much piggies like some herbs, such as parsley.

Next year I'm growing my own lettuce! It's too spendy. I wish I could grow my own hay! I'm gonna try to
Grow some grass inside over the winter.

Can guinea pigs eat the grass you can buy and grow for cats? Anyone? @Wiebke

Please look up the variety you are thinking about. Wheatgrass is usually a hit.
I grow fresh herbs for my piggies.

Ok thanks, I've see wheat grass. I just wasn't sure if it was okay or not. I think it said it could have oat grass also?

I have an allotment and my two girls get pretty much all their fresh food from it!

That's brilliant! It's so satisfying isn't it, feeding them what you have grown.

Massive respect for having an allotment- a lot of hard work. I keep thinking of applying.

Oh you definitely should! It's so satisfying to eat stuff you've grown, and I love that I know exactly what my guineas are getting :)

Also after a long week at work it's nice to go some where peaceful and get muddy haha

I once grew lettuce it felt like ages of work and seconds to destroy :)) ! x

Haha too right! Luckily for me they love carrot tops but not the actual carrots :')

I grow all my fruit and veg in my back garden at the moment but there isn't a massive amount of space.

I tried to grow stuff in my garden but all the local cats just pooed on everything :td:
