Got my two girlies a few weeks ago and it seems that they are really fussy about their veggies! They absolutely love carrots and curly kale, but everything else ive tried they seem to pick at it or ignore completely. ?/
Ive tried parsley, romaine lettuce, melon, tomatoes and corn on the cob. Could it be they are still settling in?
Oh and they love cucumber aswell, so thats only really three things they will eat. What does everyone else feed their piggies?

Try something new every week and leave it in the cage for a day or two, so they can get familiar with it and then dish it up two or three weeks later again. Don't try too many things at the same time!

Just keep persevering. It's not easy with piggies that haven't had much fresh veg in their lives - a bit like getting children to eat "green stuff"!

My piggies LOVE

-- Apple
-- Cucumber
-- Cabbage
-- Parsley
-- Carrots
-- Red pepper
-- Green pepper
-- Dill
-- Strawberry tops

However

they dont like
-- Tomatoes
-- Strawberries

I havent tried them with anything else just yet :)

each piggy is different and takes longer to adjust;) persevere like vickyt says and just remember the yummy more moderation foods are normally the ones they absolutely love leaving us chasing them trying to get them to eat the yummy vit C filled red peppers and similar x

Just to encourage you - after giving it the odd try over over the last two years, my five year old girl has finally decided that red pepper is edible, after much nose turning and "how can you do that to me?" !

I agree with everyone. Each piggie is different, Pickle loves strawberries but my girls wont touch them, Lila is picky about kale yet both Pickle and Clover love it. And the list goes on! LOL good luck and don't give up.

I think guineas have individual likes and dislikes the same as people do.My two like different things, and one is fairly fussy, while the other eats most things. The things both of them love most are dandelions, cucumber,Romaine lettuce, tomatoes and melon.

My four piggies all have very different tastes. However they do all like carrots and sprouts. Whenever I try to give red pepper to one of my girls she just looks at me and runs back into her home! Celery is another fav but I dont give them a lot of this.

It's funny mine all tend to love the same foods and that goes for food they hate too!

Mine don't like courgette, parsnip, corn and cauli!

None of ours will eat courgette either, not even Dustbin Dylan, who as you may gather from his name eats just about everything!

Most of ours gobble everything except Alan who is extremely fussy. He tends to leave fine beans, corn, peppers and occasionally the spring greens of they are not to his liking. rolleyes Bear doesn't appear to care for tomatoes but that's about it.

Keep trying!

LOL! That sounds like Nugget. Ever since we got him he won't eat certain things eg. cucumber, red pepper, apple etc. But about a week ago he started eating anything and everything. He now fights Nibbles for his share. Just keep trying. Eventually they decide that your not trying to poison them. ;)

Lol, i think thats what they think I'm trying to do to them!:)p
Ill keep trying then. Just for future reference, curly kale isnt something that could give them bloat is it? I know giving too much of some veggies does this. They absolutely love it and at least i know there having something nutritious apart from carrots!:{

i know to much kale can cause gas which is uncomfortable for them not sure if thats the same as bloat though?/.I feed everything in moderation just to be safe x

At the moment Sparkle and crunchie like carrot, fresh grass and apple.

Ignore peas in pod, melon, carrot tops, tomatoes, broccili, cucumber and lettice
( not ice burg of coarse)
So a good tip to leave it in hutch for a day or two and try them again in a few weeks will see how i get on

have you tried
parsely,red peppers,mint leaves,fresh basil,corn,corn husks,corn silks?
they seem to be among some of the favourites for piggies x

I have just found out that both mine LOVE basil and coriander. Not sure how much of each they should have, though ?

Fussy as fussy can be. They won't eat the whole apple slice if the flesh and skin aren't given to them seperately, they turn their noses up at anything that doesn't crunch (grapes, strawberries, tomatoes), if you give them something too many days in a row it gets snubbed... You cna tell they're disappointed when they check both bowls to see if the other got something better!
