Hello, I just recently moved to California from Az and I wanted to see if anyone in California is in this form. I been noticing how it’s wet humid here and my girls cage fleece is not drying up how it would in Az and I wanted to see if anyone who lives here had tips on how they keep their fleece dry or alternative anything they used to make it dry. Please help! And if you know anyone who lives in Cali please send them to this post!

I live in a dry place, I can see how the humidity could be a problem though. Your best bet is to do spot cleans whenever they need it. If the fleece is not wicking the moisture through, then it may not work for now and you may want to look at other choices. I found smaller pee pads on top of the fleece is easy to replace every day instead. Hope someone who lives in a humid place can give some better advice.

How do you wash and dry your fleece? That should help us come up with some ideas on how to help you out.

It can be pretty humid here in Indiana with 60-80% humidity. I haven't had any troubles drying fleece with hanging them up to dry inside the house. They won't dry if I hang them up outside since it is so humid out there. I make sure I change and wash potty pads daily with a total fleece clean out twice a week.

Have you tried using a high/fast spin cycle for your fleece? That seems to help wring out a ton of water from mine.

Okay thank you I might have to switch them to pee pads until I can find a better solution but I’ll give that a shot

I wash my fleece every week in a quick was before it was a 1 hour wash and use the dryer machine I’ll have to see if my washer has a setting like that since I live in a apartment at the moment. I mostly having trouble with it being moist inside the house rather than outside for their fleece. Once they pee it doesn’t dry I never had that problem in Arizona since it’s a dry place.’

Hopefully a faster spin cycle will help wring out more water. If it is too wet, it just won't dry overnight. I use skirt hangers I get from the store, the ones with the pincers/clothespin type thing, to hang up my fleece. I let it dry out overnight and it seems to do pretty well drying out that way. I can get away with drying it outside on a humid day as long as the sun is shining on the fleece.

Hopefully this helps!
