Anyone got any successful comeback stories?

Hi everyone,

I am nursing a sick pig that keeps improving a bit, then suddenly going back down again. It's been going on about 6 weeks and we have had at least 10 vet visits since it first started and syringe feeding including feeds in the middle of the night for about a month.

Does anyone have any comeback stories (pigs that were badly ill but came back from it) as I could do with some inspiration and hope!

My lovely little Bramble was very sick for a long time, I syringe fed her for weeks if not months, every 3 hours. She had to relearn to walk normally, had nerve damage down the left side, muscle weakness, a head tilt, she was pretty much entirely deaf, blind in the left eye, walked in circles, had neurological damage. We were at the vets with her on a daily basis at one point to check her progress to ensure we werent making her suffer by not just putting her to sleep.

She recovered and lived a very happy further 2 years, we lost her the day before her 3rd birthday. She adored life, even while she was fighting her illness.

I've had a old age ish boar with pneumonia literally on deaths door and somehow came back to live another 2 years. He got fast treatment

He had near death bloat aswell and came back from that
