My own and visiting rescues all love parsley and I would love to be able to grow my own. Has anyone has any luck growing it in pots or planters or know how you go about growing it? Can you grow it indoors all year around?

Below is a pic of my own (rescue) guineas, Toffee (who has had 3 dentals under anaesthetic and is thriving) and Tansy. Both are getting on in years now but are so precious.

And don't worry, I didn't give them all of the parsley they were helping themselves too ;)

I grow parsley outside my pigs sheds every summer but buy it in winter if I can get hold of it

Yes, I buy it by the bunch in Tescos. It's £1.00, well 99p a bunch and it doesn't go far ::)
Nice and fresh though, but I'd prefer to grow it organically for them.

How good is parsley for them? Simba LOVES it and has it once or twice a day...is this too much?
He also has watercress, rocket lettuce and spinach so its only a small amount of each to make up his bowl of veg.

:) Yes you can grow parsley all year round indoors, BUT it does take along time to sprout ! I can never get good bushy plants, so you have to grow alot. :o

I always grow parsely and mint outside the sheds as i love the smell of fresh mint and it keeps the dreaded flies away if not then the fly zapper does it for me

We were going to grow it but someone told my mum it grows really slowly. We're hoping to plant fruit and veg for the summer soon :)

I brought a pot from Morrisons last year as a treat and my dad planted the roots into a long window potter. It went mad and is only just finishing now, it's been outside for months... We are going to plant it out once the weather improves in the garden for next year :)
