I have been doing a LOT of research... almost all of the symptoms of this Willow has/have had. Would it be something the vet would think of, I dont know. Her vet is on holiday all next week

My question is does anyone have experience in this? I know Willow has issues. But this just seems to fit her a little to much.

The common symptoms include, but are not limited to, the following:

Tilted head -has

Walking in circles - mostly all she did when we first got her

Nystygmus (darting eye) - has

Rolling (in later stages) - yes

Paralysis of the hind quarter - one leg

Early symptoms frequently overlooked are:

Lack of movement around the cage - huddling in corner - not really that I know of

Loss of appetite- no she has always been hungry, but not able to eat

Darting eye (nystygmus)- still has

Weepy eye- very light case

Lying close to the floor with head down - always

Weight loss -yes

Dehydration - we try to keep her hydrated

Weaving from side to side - she is called stevie wonder willow

Staggering gait - yes

Stargazing ( starring up at nothing)- yes

Maybe I am wanting her well so bad that I am grasping at anything but after stumbling across this its a little to close for me to rule out on my own. Especially after looking at pictures. Any thought anyone?

Sounds possibly like an inner ear infection. But i would always worry with nystagmus that there is some sort of central nervous system (ie the brain) damage or problem there. However the head tilt would suggest the ear infection. Do you worm your piggie?
