Hi all

As the title suggests really. I've also tried various other hays (meadow, ings, Timothy from different suppliers). So far the hay my pigs love is alfalfa (they are under six months) and oat hay but they don't seem to be that bothered about any other hay! Anyone else have this issue?

They gain weight at more the normal range so I guess they are eating but the difference between them with oat hay and other hay is extreme!

Hi, i have 3 girls, they don't like timothy hay. I've tried several varieties but always end up giving it to my grandaughter for her rabbits. My girls like ings, burns welsh meadow hay, b & m timothy hay with dandelion & marigold, burgess forage hay. They're spoilt, picky piggies when it comes to their hay.

My two went through a stage where they wouldn't eat any hay just picked at it occasionally so overnight they only get hay to eat and nothing else, they started eating whatever hay I put in front of them then because they were hungry and had nothing else to eat (I promise i'm not a ogre but it was desperate times) so now their hay consumption is alot better but they are still fussy. At the moment they will only eat Timothy hay lol (next week they will probably hate it and only eat meadow hay they are that fussy with hay) but thankfully alot more of it now. Just to add they do get veg and pellets in the morning and again in the evening and hay is always available to them but it's better for them to eat just hay overnight to keep their routine.

Ours wouldn't touch it until I recently tried some from dust free hay which they seem to like.....I mix it in with the meadow hay which they love. They also like Ings.
