.... who can recommend a local farm please to get bales of good quality hay from? Our usual supplier has become way too expensive for the amount we get through, so am looking to buy by the bale instead.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions xx

Hiya Woodlouse, I'm from Oldbury too! There are a couple of horse feed shops in Romsley/Clent, I know Jackie Roberts' is normally quite reasonable and Martin's is also good. Martin's is easier to find as well; coming from Halesowen direction, you turn right at The Sun at Romsley and it's a little way along that road on your right.

There's also a good feed shop in Kidderminster town centre that I used to use when I had horses, I'll try and think of the name and get back to you!

Oh, just remembered Shakeys.......Shakespeare's tack/feed shop, a couple of miles away from Russels Hall Hospital, heading towards Kingswinford. I think they used to sell hay?

Also, you could take a drive round the Clent Hills; quite often, the farmers put signs outside their driveways.

Hope that helps, Tracey
