Anyone know anything about this rescue...

The size of hutches they recommend is small for 2 pigs, also they do not mention keeping indoors during winter. Not the best feeding advice. But if you know what you're doing with regard to care, go for it. A rescue pig is a rescue pig. xx

I agree re: hutch size, and they don't mention home checks, homing criteria or adoption requirements really. Haven't heard of them myself, I wonder if they're quite new? As they're not a million miles from me..

I noticed the not so brillant advice aswell. Also noticed in the pictures they are feeding a poor mix and the vegetables dont look like the greatest of diets...but then I justified it with the fact most rescue/rehome via ad's pigs may have had this kind of diet in their lifetimes, so I shouldnt worry too much about it.

I do (thankfully) know all about the right feeding/accomadation and wouldnt dream of having them outside.

Whoever I adopt will be introduced to excell pellets, and a nutritious vege diet that doesnt include whole carrots or uncut celery...:)p

They will also join my two girls in this cage...

i think that you're not putting them down. its only subtle changes for the better!

Roughly 7x4, I think I worked out about 10-12 pigs could fit in according to guineapigcages.com but I've maxed myself up for only three as quality time wise my pigs are taught to be as tame as dogs, come to their name etc...and I couldnt do that x12 :)p Plus my girls are long haired so constantly cutting hair, their high maintaince x)

I think I would ask whoever has the power to do so to delete this thread before I recommended them. I think I might have come across as a tad harsh :(

You must live near Chelmsford Char-x! We've heard of them but unfortunately don't know much about them. Please do let us know how you get on as we would like to get guinea's from there in the future.

It is possible that they are absolutely fine. I don't expect the website is meant to be the complete works on GP care. They are probably lovely people who really care. Let's hope so. Good luck at the weekend. xx

and you know what, that's what really matters

Got a call back from them today from them and they have no females in. They have two females in but they are ill and not ready to rehome. They did come across as really nice and caring people!
