Hiya,
I was on here before because my guinea had ring worm. Its been being treated by just rubbing hibiscrub on it which has worked wonders and he is now getting his hair back over his bald patches. But he has had this thing on his nose which I thought was part of the ring worm at first. Then I thought it might be matted hair so he had a special bath. But now I'm not so sure. He isn't very old They are between 10 and 12 weeks old and ve

Hibiscrub cleans an area but wont get rid of the fungal.

Please get your piggie seen by a vet who will be able to diagnose the skin condition and prescribe the correct cream/shampoo etc...

You live in a town with an amazing Guinea Pig vet

I took him to the vet the day after I got him because he came to me with ringworm the vet told me to treat with hibiscrub. It has worked great and he no longer has ring worm. Just the lump on his nose

The lump could be a scab from the ringworm, do you have a photo?

I commented on your other thread I think, the ringworm will not have cleared up this quickly even with a proper anti fungal product so it is possible that the lump is part of the ringworm. Hibiscrub is a good cleaner but it will not get rid of ringworm.

I do have a picture but it won't upload it for some reason. It keeps saying its failed

Phone in the morning for an appointment. This week is likely to be very busy as Simon and Kim are going away at the end of the week, so you will need to get in early. 01604 478888 The sooner you get this seen the better. In the long run you will save money, because if it gets worse it will take a lot more treatment to get it sorted.

It may be too big to upload. I would try for an appointment with Simon as soon as you can this week.

I am not registered with the cat and rabbit vet because there is no way of getting there. The vet I see is a small animals vet in my vet clinic. She is amazing with them. Igg has an appointment with then this week to find out what the lump is
