Teenage Guinea Pig
Hi guys!
After being largely unimpressed by my last hay order, I am wondering if anyone ordered KMS products to a British or a German address. The website won't let me check out, and I saw in the FAQ section that they might not be able to ship to Europe. At the same time, I remember reading about people in the EU ordering hay from them (and complaining about the high delivery charge to Europe, hehe).
I am looking to purchase a ca. 15 kg box of orchardgrass / timothy / bermuda / bluegrass hay for the pigs. I purchased some 1.1 kg bags of Oxbow's orchard-grass and timothy hay from The Hay Experts, and neither of the pigs are impressed. Me neither, I should say, and I know good quality hay when I smell and see it. It looked like an overgrown first cut that was left too long in the sun, so it's more like it's been baked, and not dried. Doesn't smell nice either. It could be just the batch I got, or the fact that it's been stored in a plastic bag, but I'm hesitant to order a box. The orchardgrass variety is slightly better than the timothy, but not significantly.
And another question - is Dust Free Hay's timothy hay green and fragrant and fresh? I may try them instead, if they may be better than Oxbow.
