Anyone Tried Pain Killer Gabapentin?

It's been suggested for Beano who has persistent bladder/kidney problems. Is it safe to use long term, maybe even for life? Anyone had problems with it?

I have heard of it but not used it. I can check my formulary later when home if needed though.
 
I've only heard of Gabapentin for humans as my doctor keeps recommending it for me.
 
I just did a search on another forum I am on and it is mentioned but in relation to humans.
 
I've had it! No idea about piggies though! It did make me put on a lot of weight, might be worth keeping in mind incase its the same for pets!
