Hi all. I try to give my piggie Paul a variety of veg daily - he has tried a large amount of different veggies and fruit but he will turn his nose up at everything apart from cucumber, celery, baby corn and herbs. I find myself wasting a lot of veggies as he will just leave them in the cage.
Is there any tips on breaking his fussiness? My other piggies have all eaten anything I give to them but he’s having none of it 😂

Thanks all x

Maybe introduce new things he wont eat now after a couple of weeks break with not offering them? I reintroduced beansprouts tonight after 3 weeks without them after all 5 piggies were looking at them with utter contempt before, and they all got eaten up straight away :)

I had this problem with Comet for a spell. And he always used to get really upset because Blitzen would get fed, why not him? It apparently never occurred to him that he was supposed to eat the same food, the dolt.

At one point he wouldn't eat much more than thyme, lettuce, spinach and bell pepper, and sometimes not even that. Eventually he just started eating more veg again...thankfully.

Is he alone? Getting a companion/room mate for him might help as they tend to eat quicker so they don’t miss out, it creates a sense of competition for them. They do tend to go off food from time to time also, or so I’ve found.

I have this problem with both my piggies, cucumber ✔️ Romaine lettuce ✔️ Carrot ✔️ Parsley ✔️ Coriander ✔️ These are virtually the only things I know will always be eaten... other than this, I put it on their veggie plates and hope they fancy it that day 😂 Mine don't even like bell peppers!? 😱 Take a tiny nibble and leave it... I gave them half a strawberry each the other day, Ive never seen more disappointment from two piggies in my life 😂😂😭😭

(Oh and spinach) 😂😂

Thanks everyone, I’m glad he’s not the only one! Yes he currently lives alone, his brother passed away 3 weeks ago and he was exactly the same (fussy eater) so he’s always been that way. I guess they’re all different
