pampered piggies to great natural toys! :smitten: http://www.pamperedpiggies.co.uk/page.asp?module=shopProducts&categoryID=21&clientID=11 and there are also a few nice things on here, http://thistlecavies.tripod.com/shop/id3.html and i like it, cos the money helps the rescue! :smitten:

A homemade thing you can make is stuff loo roll or kitchen roll tubes with hay/treats etc., i do this and it gives the piggies something to do. Hope this helps.

i shop at the same place as cavy love, pampered piggies grassy balls go down a treat here with my 7

and thistle cavies do some nice things too, as well as helping out the rescue with what i buy :)

Just thought id say that pampered piggies has given over £300 this year to different guinea pig rescues in the UK and any profit is used to support my rescues.
I'm not an official rescue at the moment because of the move but next year we are looking to re open it as an official rescue.

We also offer grooming and nail clipping for a small donation to the rescue in Devon and Surrey although this has to be booked in advance as I'm only in surrey one week a month!

So if you do buy from me you can rest assure that your money is going towards good causes. (obvioulsy thistle cavies is also a great place to shop too!) O0

Screwfix do grids and I've had feedback that they're better than Argos...Screwfix

Disinfectants from Thistle or SPH Supplies who donate Cavy Cuisine and Oxbow hays to my rescue guineas :) Lots of good causes out there, take your pick :)

small cardboard boxes - free. I manage to scrounge them off family members (who have had postal deliveries) or the supermarket (I pounce on an unsuspecting shelf packers).
Toilet roll tubes - remember to make a longitudinal cut through them. I made the mistake of putting one in my piggies hutch without making a cut (when I first got my pigs) and when I came back 30mins later one of them had gotten stuck on it - like a cardboard corset ::)

toilet roll or kiten roll tubes stuffed with hay definitely the cheapest option.........

yep, mine looove that! keeps them busy for hours! you should cut a slit down the tubes though just in case they think they can get in them like my bertie. ::) learnt that one the hard way, came in and saw a piggie running round the cage with a toilet roll tube stuck over his head and face, he was running in to things poor little fella. :-* :smitten: ;D quite funny to see though, thought i was hallucinating. he started screaming at me and i saved him. :) :-* :smitten: and of course hugged and checked he was ok. :smitten:

If you use loo/kitchen rolls as toys please make sure you slit them with a pair of scissors first so that naughty piggies can't get their heads stuck....
