Apple branches

Hello my neighbour is having an apple tree cut down. Can piggies eat the bark and if so would you wash it first? Many thanks

They will enjoy a small apple branch to chew on! Mine love when I prune my apple trees!
Yes, wash it, give it a scrub to ensure there isn't any lichen on it and that it is generally clean.
