Apples and Oranges

I read that you shouldnt give your piggies toomuch apple as it can cause sores in the mouth, is this true and what sort of amount is acceptable? Also what is the deal with oranges and guineas?
 
Yes that is true it can cause south sores, I give my piggies apple twice a week and they are all fine no sores.
I give 2 apples cut up between my pigs so they only a small amount each.
This is the same with oranges, although only 1 out of my 10 piggies will eat it!

I guess its like marmite to piggies, they either love it or hate it :))
 
Thanks! I appreciate the help, Ive given my piggies apple once a week, just a quarter of a small apple each. They ahve had orange once, but only one in four like it...oh well!
