Apples. Yea Or Nay?

Quick question ... are apples bad for guinea pigs? I know pips and cores are not good, but are unpeeled Gala Apples pieces too sweet? I gave Freddie a slice of my own lunchtime apple today, coz he asked so nicely, but now am worried. Advice please. Thanks.

Apple is fine so long as it’s an occasional treat. Most piggies enjoy a small chunk of apple
Like most fruits it’s the high sugar content that you have to be careful of.
