Hi,
I was just wondering if Critters choice loopy loops are safe?
TIA

I’ve just looked them up online and they don’t look very healthy at all. Full of grains and ingredients which piggies shouldn’t have

Thank you I got them it as a present but as I’m new I decided to check weather they are safe x

always best to check.
a lot of commercial treats are either too sugary or contain things which aren’t healthy.

a healthy treat is fresh herbs, or perhaps a different type of veg and not something which forms part of their every day diet, dried forage leaves which you can either buy or make yourself if you have access to safe weeds

:agr: I’ve just taken a look, too and they aren’t something I would let my piggies have, either.

Mine regard a chunk of cucumber as a treat - even although it’s an almost daily part of their diet.

It was good of you to check - a sure sign of a caring owner

A daily treat is still a treat. Switching it up for something like baby cucumber always went down well too.

I concur with the others, there's no harm in checking if you're unsure. There's no such thing as right or wrong, or stupid questions.

Not safe for guinea pigs but I remember when my mother bought us some of these they were much appreciated by the garden birds in the winter, which might be an option rather than just throwing them away?

I threw them away as soon as I found out they were not safe
