Are my guinea pigs ok?

Hi guys how are you?
I am new in this forum and i found it very helpful for my guinea pigs (Sunny and Squeaky)they are very new I bought them from the pet store yesterday
But i faced two problems with my guinea pigs
First:The back left leg for both of the guinea pig is purple like this picture
The man from the pet store said its ok but I am a bit worried about that

Second:The right eye of Squeaky(the guinea pig) is half closed all the time but the other eye is opened normally

I dont know much about guinea pigs so I need your help can someone help me?

First off, welcome to the forum and the world of guinea pigs!

Secondly, to me the leg looks like it may just be normal colouring. is it actually purple or is it just black skin? The eye is a bit more worrying though. Is there any discharge? If so, is it clear fluid or is it gunky? Can you see any cloudiness on the surface of the eye?

Hi and welcome!

The skin colour is normal for some mainly cream/gingery/brown hair colourings.

However, I would urge you to see a preferably piggy savvy (exotics) vet over the eye. It needs to be checked out whether it is an eye injury or an infection. You can bill p@h for the vet cost, but please do not surrender your piggies back to them!
