Every morning when refreshing the hay tray my girls will insist on being hand fed single strands of hay? If the piece has been eaten and whoever has taken on this task is not quick enough to provide another one Kiwi begins chewing the bars and will not stop until you oblige. They do train their slaves well! Don't they?

They are aren't they! Kiwi's used to being hand fed food since she was a baby. I don't think she had been weened properly as she was really skinny when I got her you could almost see her ribs:( Her first bit of fruit and veg was some Kiwi hence her name!
Before she was introduced to Willow She would screem so hard for me if She was left alone for to long that her ears would flap up and down! She would also (and still does) put her mouth around one of my fingers and lick or gently chew it for comfort:D
:shh: Shhhh don't tell Her that I've told you. She's a big girl now! Bigger than her big sister Willow in fact!

None of mine do this but how sweet does Kiwi sound. Bless her heart. You're a very caring mummy. :)
Thank you :agr:She is one very special piggy she is always giving me kisses and trying to eat my nose:D
The day when I got her I wasn't intending on getting a piggy as I had been told earlier in the week that they only had males and had gone into the pet shop for supplies for willow. I was on the lookout for a companion for her though as Willow Had just lost her cage mate Timmy:( (the piggy next to kiwi in my avatar):D

Mine do this!

When we first brought them home we offered them hay by hand as a way of building trust and getting them used to us (did same with veg). They still demand it now, although only happens when we give them hay for the night when we go to bed. As soon as the lid comes off the tub, they're both there chewing at the bars as though they've been starved for the day!

We're well trained

Glad mine aren't the only ones. With mine it started when trying distract them whilst the hay tray was being cleaned. Now they just keep on demanding more and more and it is only when they get bored and go back to bed that I can actually finish cleaning it! Spot cleaning each day now takes ages:mal:
