I saw these small brown bugs near or in my piggies’ cage. I had no idea what they were, so I asked my mom, and she told me not to worry about it cause, she sees them in the kitchen. I don’t know if they are harmful, or if the piggies can live with them. I had assumptions that they may be wheat weevils, but not 100% sure. My young pig isn’t scratching, but I think my older one is.

Are they oval shaped with kind of a shiny body? If so, I see them in my house too. I don't know what they are, but they don't seem to bother the pigs. I accidentally left a jar of piggy treats open and they got into it and chewed them up. I think we had a problem with them eating our grains in our kitchen once, though.

If they’re something like weevils I would have thought no danger to pigs - things that can cause problems like fleas, lice and mites you generally don’t just see walking about you have to brush or scrape the skin to find them.

I have these in my housr and cant get rid. They live off of cereal, they are harmless if its the same ones.
