Ginny and Luna are now 19 months old and STILL putting weight on. Luna is a very respectable 1094g. Ginny is massive at 1370g. I'm glad that they are happy and healthy, but at what point do I declare Ginny a big fatty?
She takes after her mum, loves her food and is lazy. I can still feel her spine and shoulder bones so am I right in thinking she isn't overweight?
She is a chunky build with really thick fur so it's hard to tell her actual shape!
Here is the most recent photo of them, just because lol. Luna is the white one, Ginny is ginger.

They are gorgeous girls! You check the weight/size ratio around the ribcage, by the way (heft). The top piggy is usually a bit heftier because it has first dibs at the food; even more so in a group.
Please want to have a look at this these guides here:

Long Term Balanced General And Special Needs Guinea Pig Diet

They are both beautiful! For what it's worth, I have had a couple of really big girls, topping the scales at just over 3 pounds. The vet agreed that they were on a healthy diet and there was really nothing to cut out, they were just big, beautiful pigs! I've also had a couple of girls who were just tiny... right now I have one 3 lb pig (Hadley) and a 1.5 lb pig (Leela.) It makes Leela still look like a baby next to her big fatty roommate! LOL!

I've had a good feel of Ginny the fatty. I can easily feel her shoulder bones and bones on her bum area, however I'm struggling to find her ribs! I'm going to swap any treats for hay, they get just as excited over hay anyway
