Are They Lonely?

I'm worried the boys are lonely! They're separate after a nasty fight and if they see each other they rumble and chatter teeth. But Godfrey seems to be biting the bars, is he trying to get to his brother? He doesn't do it a lot.
Anyway I'm just worried they're lonely, we've had to block their view because they get angry upon seeing each other. We couldn't cope with getting more pigs, so what do we do? I'm worried they'll get depressed
We could arrange it so they live nearby and see each other, but they'd most likely get angry and rumble and chatter.

All you can do is try again, all the while there isn't blood it's viable. If there is, you've lost I'm afraid. You could pair up 2 maybe. Don't be taken in with one biting the bars to get to the other, it's a rouse. Mine did that & when you put them together they just fought. Lol

Can they see/chat to each other through the bars? If not then they may get lonely. If they aren't going to go together is there a way of getting them a well matched companion each?

We can't get any more pigs, we couldn't manage. I'll make sure they can see and chatter to each other. If they rumble and chatter, is that bad?

No you are not a bad owner,you are clearly a concerned owner.I've use clear plastic perspex between the grids..so can see and hear one another...but not bite the grids.I hope you find a solution.good luck.x

yes,it was a couple of young boars that i got from a pet shop,before i was aware of rescues,both had a lock on fight,one knocked the other ones teeth out .I seperated them,they rumbled and chattered teeth through the bars,as long as they cannot get to each other and harm one another.I eventually seperated them,and got them both neutered,thats how i ended up with six cages of guinea pigs !
