My two are currently on the carpet with a pile of hay and are happily chatting away, popcorning and generally enjoying themselves and not causing any trouble whatsoever.

Chinchillas on the other hand would have chewed through cables, leapt up and knocked things off and have to be extricated from behind the gas fire by now! I have kept chinnies for many years and they are lovely, but when having free time out of the cage they can be a nightmare. I have had to rescue one from behind the gas fire, had one hurl himself out of an open window (yes, we got him back, none the worse for his adventure) and had numerous cables and household items destroyed by chinnies. :{

Believe me, piggies are a walk in the park after that! LOL! :)):))

Piggies are definitely easy to care for in comparison to most animals. With enough food and love they're a joy to look after! Sadly still too much trouble for some people though. I'll second that Bunnies are more than a handful. I made the dreadful mistake of having Rosie in my bedroom, within a day I had no tv, she's literally bitten EVERY wire! Luckily I don't keep my electricity on. She'll be in her own room soon but god knows how much it will cost to get my wiring fixed.

I've never had house bunnies so I can't comment, but the piggies just seem so happy to tootle around a bit and nibble at their hay. So far they haven't made a bee-line for anything else. Maybe they haven't been out long enough to get up to mischief, or are not totally familiar with their surrounds yet. It's so nice and relaxing watching them compared to mischevious chinnies. :))

Guinea pigs just seem to head for wherever it's nice and cosy and go to sleep. I have been sitting in the bath before, gone to get a towel and found a guinea pig sitting in the towel rack. I have also found Charlie sleeping in the wardrobe, my bed and the readigrass bag. rolleyes
