Ok I'm calm........ woke up this morning to find charlie pig had some how jumped over, scaled the high devider and ignored Badger but dropped in to say hi to his new lady friends! I'm actually really concerned as I DONT WANT BABIES!!.
I shall be moving the ladies to another ROOM
What are the chances that they wont be preg.....
Please no should have done more posts as I'm fully aware of that ;D
Sorry if I'm snappy but I'm peed off!

Ooooops! No actually make that "Mega Ooooops!" ;D

Keeping my fingers crossed for you - hopefully none of the girls were up for it and you've had a narrow escape. O0

And don't beat yourself up about it too much: you thought you'd done enough and couldn't have possibly known that you had a guinea pig who should have joined the S.A.S. ! (accidents happen)

Hi Clare,

This happened to me as well but thankfully my girls were not pregnant! Your girls would need to be in Season which happens every 14/17 days to become pregnant, how long was the little monkey in with the,? I really think you will be ok. You could just give the girls some extra vit c veggies like green pepper just incase.

But try not to worry, I did with my 2 but I can imagine my girls kicking my boys into touch! :)

yeah, i'd definitely move them away from each other ;) umm well they could be if they were in season, and they may not be, there's really no sure way to know until they get bigger and bigger! i would be careful when handling the sows and give them just a good alround diet. i didn't know peony was pregnant untill a few weeks before, when she started to inflate! (she was pregnant when we got her form p@h, and we didn't know) so she wasn't treated specially until the last few weeks, i mean we're always careful handling hr and they all have brill diets anyway, so you should be ok, if you just give a normal good alround diet O0 don't beat yourself up, whats done is done, you can't change it now (calming hugs) :smitten:

perhaps you could enter chan the UK olympics in the high jump :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: as the saying goes boys will be boys and where there is a will there is a way. like already said, feed the girls an all round diet and watch closely. and move those teases to another room! :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: sorry shouldn't be laughing but charlie sounds like 1 determined piggy! hey send the babies if any to me! i am really hoping you aren't a grand mother and i know you're upset, but when you have had time to settle you will see that charlie is not only a womaniser but a determined little boy. hugs and cuddles to you and yours. try not to stress, what's done is done. :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:

can u believe after i typed the first post little charlie had re grouped with bobby fuzz and was showing him the way!
I quickly pulled his enclosure (they live in big open toped enclosures) out of jumping distance (was almost school run time) and told him off!
Now I'm going to re vamp the whole set up, boys in one room girls in the other!
My pigs eat loads of green peppers and stuff so there diet is cool, i will just watch for expanding waistlines... (i will be a great grandmother as these little pigs were the result of my romeo being sold to me as a girl)
THANKS for all the TLC guys, really appreciate it as i sure as hell wont get any off mister when i tell ;D him!

LOL the little monkey. I think keeping the boys in a seperate room is ideal because if they can smell the girls as they hit the 6-9 month stage you may end up seperating pigs.

I wasn't being funny about their diet by the way, it's just I've read pregnant pigs need 20mg of vit c while non pregnant pigs only need 10mg. If your sows start drinking loads thats a way of telling early on as well! Although Flora did that and I freaked out...lol but she just loves water! ;D

horny little critter, well it must be so hard all those woman all that frustration ;D

i think you may have a stampede of them on the way ;)

well as they say if theres a will theres normally a way ;D

Ok all swap in my house, all cadges are scrubbed of any parfum de la minnie pig and the boys are out with the other boys (in separtae cages) a bit of handbags at first but they all really happy and thers NO FIGHTING!!
Mind u if charlie cud smoke id imagine him in a smoking jacket and cigarette holder... quite the little man (LIKE ROMEO)
Please God no more pups, i love them but if iwanted more i want shelter ones not "silly mummy" ones!

you have to admire charlie and his determination. loved the way he was showing the other boys how to get to the girls. bet you won't be in charlie's good books now that he is in a seperate room! hugs and cuddles to you and your babies and cheeky charlie. :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:

Got everything crossed that everything turns out ok for you Clare. I think we under estimate how they can climb determined little darlings they are. You just cant believe how those little legs can climb :smitten:
